My first exposure to this song was in the early 1990's, as a very young PC user dialing up local BBS'es. A ScreamTracker demo was released for the PC platform, ported from Amiga, and this was the song included with the demo. Hearing this music, through the crappy paper speaker in my 80286 clone computer, with no sound card, was absolutely mind blowing at the time. I still remember the ANSI display of scrolling stars, to this day. Dr. Awesome deserves accolades on many fronts, but this introduction of truly amazing music to the PC/BBS world in the early 90's was truly groundbreaking and ought to be recognized for the magnitude of its impact. Still sounds great today! Rated 10-Awesome - Dr. Awesome knew it before we did.

Skyscraper, I Love You ... 20 years later, OK Go's "Skyscraper" addressed the same idea in a totally different genre.

Thanks, FM! We love you!

If you bought a Pro AudioSpectrum 16 back in the day, it included a DOS MODplayer called "Trak Blaster Pro", which had really snazzy graphics for its time. That player came with a few songs, and this was one of them. I remember hearing it playing on a computer at CompUSA around 1992.
