This has a driving rhythm! It starts at a decent pace and then speeds up until it goes stompin' straight ahead at high speed. There is a lot of finesse in the details, and a lot of humour as well. Really cool track.

This is a nice pop/demostyle tune. It has a very syncopated "stutter" guitar/bass, which is quite dominant in parts, but it's also interesting enough to not get on my nerves. The "stutter" is a bit of a lizardking trademark, I guess. Pads and synths add a few catchy melodic motives. Overall, a very well done little tune. (btw, the file I have is called 1993.mod)

Wow! This is a film soundtrack already! Deep strings form the dramatic bottom layer, and piano and violins take over the melodies. It should be longer, though. And sadly, it doesn't loop correctly in XMPlay

Pretty good orchestral piece of music. Would be cool with a real Orchestra! But has a very sudden ending, like it was never finished.

Hm, at first I thought this is pretty average. It's a bit formulaic for my taste. Still some good sounds and a certain retro charme. And the strange thing is, it seems to grow on me. So, in the end I found it "enjoyable"...

Mostly calm, quiet, melancholic tune by Moby. Lots of melodic ideas that go well together. If a bad composer tried this it might have been terrible easy listening muzak. But this is good, even if you could argue it should be 3 or 4 songs instead of one. It's worth keeping attention to details, and before you get too relaxed, it wakes you up again with some speedier parts. Somehow I could imagine this being a soundtrack for a good TV sitcom or soap. All in all - excellent.

Hard Thrash Metal, quick pace. Some melodic intermissions, but mostly rhythm guitar. Not my style, really, but reasonably well done. Loved to turn it up to annoy my parents ;) Note: the file I have is called "thrash.mod"

I've got to agree with both of you... it is very memorable, the way the ambience is set up and then slowly a song begins... that was something very impressing. Just using those samples so well made this special. The starting bassline is still cool, the first melodies are OK. The later parts starting around pattern 26 don't hold up so well. I guess overall I still like it enough for 7,5=8/10.

Another one of the great funk songs by Moby. It gets very fiddly with a quick syncopated bass. But it is never annoying, because there are just the right breaks and new motives and instruments are called to the front. Like a well-oiled band playing together for 30 years.

I guess it works as a demo-tune, depending on the graphics. It contains a lot of good ideas, but it is much less polished than other (later?) tunes by Moby. Maybe it's just not my style.

I'm a sucker for funky basslines. This has a monster bassline! And the short trumpet hits, yeah!! Groovy :) There are not too many good funky tunes in MOD format. This is one of the great ones. My only wish is that it would go on longer, but the loop is nice enough.

Well, Knulla is a Knueller (German for "hit"). I wouldn't have much to add, but I have to, says the system ;-) Is there a way to just add a rating without any text? Just listened to it and somehow, maybe, it feels a little bit more dated than other Mods by Moby. But that could be because I listened to it so often and still know it by heart! Very very well done. (Istill need to write more???) What genre would fit this song, I wonder..................... general Rock, I guess. Or Pop-Rock. Whatever. (Still too short???? nah. can't be. Maybe it's the umlaut I used in the first line? let's try without.) Yep, the u-umlaut breaks the comment processing, it seems.

This is in the database twice, the other one with a lowercase spelling. I've rated and commented on the other one, I won't repeat it here. TMA has said it already better than I did. It's a great rocking mod! Edited to add: I also love the "whistling" line in the beginning and the end. It is so peaceful and nice, and such a good contrast to the rock-guitar parts.

I agree with the placeholder account. "Butcher's madness" is really good for a 4-channel mod. The spooky atmosphere is well done, and the hard metal is not getting boring. But the limits of 4 channels are evident. A remake with todays possibilities would be very cool...

Whooa, I remember this! It is one of the best Rock mods ever, in my opinion. Give it a try, it is really very good.
