An amazing XM, with a great intro, tons of variety, and very nice sounding instruments. Obvious inspiration has been drawn from Elwood's modules, so if you liked Elwood's work in the mid-late 90s, you'll love this song too.

This MOD is quite repetitive. Hearing that same flute piece is grating, and other than that, there really aren't any leads. It uses a standard 125/3 tempo, with an equally standard drum track that fades out in the middle of the song only to return in the next pattern. There are 20 samples but none of them are particularly outstanding.

The beginning is quite nice, but I don't like the music box solo in the middle. The pacing is nice, and the samples while unremarkable on their own are used very well here.

A very nice fast paced song, with a nice progression and a good use of some quite crappy samples. I definitely recommend it.

It's a shame this MOD didn't make the cut for Star Control 2. It's a nice upbeat guitar tune. The samples are all under 10kb in size but they have been used very well.

Very catchy, fast paced song, circa 1990. Its title is fitting, as it carries somewhat of a "post-apocalyptic" mood. The melodies are unique and varied in notes, but sharing the same general rhythm. The eight samples are of varying quality, from the ST-01 brass sound to the high quality timpani-like sound. The drum samples are fairly low quality but awesome sounding in use. The sudden cut off at the end is disappointing; a fade would have been more appropriate.

Classic Amiga MOD circa 1990. The melodies are all very nice and go well together. The samples are okay; the xylophone and beep sounds are not tuned, but it works okay in this case. Overall it reminds me of Technostyle II by Xenox, as the samples are the same, and the genre is basically the same.

The artist was clearly inspired by the renowned Occ-San-Geen by Uncle Tom, as he used not only the same samples but also taking ideas from Occ's echo effects. The result is okay, but repetitive. The bassline only changes once, on pattern 10, the obligatory trainwreck pattern. Take a listen and you might like it, but it failed to impress me.

An excellent trance song. A whopping 64 channels (though they are not all used at the same time so there could be less in theory.) A nice progression and the voice samples actually benefit the song. The samples are fairly average quality, all of them are 8-bit and none really stand out. I'm surprised this hasn't been downloaded more often; it really is a hidden gem.

A tune by Time Traveller of Cryptoburners, circa 1990. For the most part pretty good, though some parts are repetitive or boring. It reminds me of Zodiak's work for Cronologia from a year later, because some of the samples are the same, and the structure is similar, using lots of patterns at a fast speed. It's a good length, clocking in at just under 5 minutes. The samples are what you would expect for 1990, so not too bad but not anything spectacular. I don't particularly care for the usage of sample #8 (the synth-brass), it's a good sample but is not used very well. (Note: The version here has a very bad loop for sample #3 not present in other copies.)

For being so old it sounds really good. I like the echo effects and the progression around 1:10-1:16. Though the 18 samples aren't that great, at least they are not all ST-01. At 4 minutes 33 seconds it is a decent length.

One of the songs from the Space Pigs' Megademo for PC. Simple, no effects, ST-01 samples, but fairly catchy. This one differs slightly from the version heard in Megademo, such as the intro, and a slower tempo here, but otherwise, the two songs are identical.

This song starts off promising, but it grows repetitive after awhile. Limitations of the four MOD channels are easily heard, as sometimes, certain instruments will stop other ones. One of the patterns sounds off-time. It only uses ten unique patterns, arranged to total 40 patterns, so the song is longer than average at 5 minutes and 14 seconds. No effects are used, and all the samples are sourced from the infamous ST-01 disk. It's one of those songs that I know deep down is not very good, but I like it.

Sure it may remind one of Purple Motion's famous Second Reality, but it is a catchy song, and it demonstrates the superiority of the XM format over MOD and S3M. 51 samples, though a good number of these are chip waves, and the non-chip samples are not of any outstanding quality. Still worth at least a listen.

This song starts off with a slow-paced, melancholic string melody. Then a distorted flute comes in, as well as a badly mixed and looped chord. After about a minute, a boring bassline and equally boring drumtrack kick in, and the song becomes less sad sounding. This goes on for a while, and a synth lead plays a decent melody, but the song switches back to the old melody for the end. The samples are decent quality (for an old MOD), except for the horribly distorted flute and the short looping chord. While the first sample slot is blank, the comment suggests that the ST-01:Alien sample was meant to go there, but if added there, it does not blend with the song well. Since the second sample is a major chord made with ST-01:Strings7, a minor chord with the same sample seems to fit well in the first slot. Only five effect types are used. I don't recommend downloading this. It's just an old MOD with not a thing noteworthy about it.

Very good early techno style song. One of my personal favourites. It is a bit repetitive, and some parts sound unfinished, but those come later in the MOD and you probably won't notice them anyway. It uses a lot of patterns (48 unique, 82 total) but plays at a fast pattern speed, so it runs through them all in 5 minutes and 22 seconds. Download it, listen to all of it, and you'll probably like it.

I imagine this may bring back memories for Amiga gamers back in the late 80's/early 90's. (This is the title screen music for the Amiga game Ballistix.) This is an early MOD, and it shows. Few effects, and the majority of the samples are ST-01. (There are some unique voice samples but they are awful quality.) Some patterns can sound messy or unfinished. It's not terrible but it's just an old MOD these days.

The former review alludes that this is a cover to a well-known song. Well, it sounds familiar, but I just can't place the name of the actual song. Anyway, this song is just an old module to me, and not a very good one at that. All the samples except for the drums and second bass are ST-01. The secondary bass is horrible, but the drums are alright. Don't bother downloading. Now off to find what the original song was...

It has potential but there are a couple glaring problems. The most noticeable is the lack of bass for most of the song. There's also a couple patterns that seem to be a bit off-time. It's a good length at 4 minutes and 20 seconds, but there's no definite end; the song is meant to loop.

All sequenced samples aside from a few lone drums. Only effects are volume and pattern loop. None of the samples are really of any outstanding quality. It plays for 5 minutes and 18 seconds but due to the repetitive nature it seems like twice that length. Pass!

Quite a repetitive tune...and not very long either. Despite having only ten unique patterns it uses a decent number of samples. Most of the samples are ST-01 but some are unique. I especially like the chord samples. A lone volume setting on the first pattern is the only effect present. Technically speaking it's just an old module and probably one of this artist's older works.

Nice metal guitar tune. Anyone who has tried tracking knows the difficulties of getting electric guitars to sound good; this artist has worked around that difficulty. 8 channel MOD, and generic commonly used samples, but that doesn't drag it down a bit. Lasts for 5 minutes and 11 seconds so it's a good length. Oddly, eleven of the samples (half of them) remain unused throughout the song. Why leave behind so many extra samples?

I find it funny how it's called "speaker buster," as the samples are rather quiet. Other than that, it's a pretty good MOD. Starts off fairly slow, building up quickly and then becoming faster paced, then back to slow for the end. The samples aren't great, though. Drums sound a bit staticy, lead guitar is ST-01 common, but the longer guitar is quite nice. I'd say listen to it a few times; you may or may not like it.

Great tune from the arcade game, but unfortunately this conversion is rather average. The samples are ST-01 of course, and some of the sample choices are odd. The chord samples weren't mixed well and have bad loops. The whole song is there, and it even loops correctly. Bonus point for being pretty much the only MOD cover of this song.
