One of my all time favorites, and one that brings back memories. When I moved from Amiga to PC in the mid 90s I started to look into what the demo and tracker scene looked like on PC, and there were immediately two songs that stuck out for me. One was Purple Motions music for Second Reality. The other was this one, from the demo Caero by Plant/EMF. Later I also got my hands on a second hand GUS, which made both of these songs sound even more awesome.

Terror! Exitement! Bananamen! This one takes me back. I used to love that intro. The module itself is quite simple, using only a few loops to great effect. Unfortunately very low sample quality, but considering this is for a 40K intro it shouldn't really be a surprise. All in all, effective for what it is.

Tumbling down the rabbit hole of ST-01:-based modules, I come across this gem from the inimitable LMan. And what a ride it is. Based entirely on the ST-01: sample disk that came with the original Soundtracker, although obviously taking advantage of features that was later found in Protracker, this tune twists and turns it's way through territory you thought you knew. If you have listened to amiga modules from the late 80s you have probably heard most of these samples before, but I can assure you that you have not heard them used quite this way.

Slightly modified version of the song at ID 56660. This one is from the re-relase of Project X, a.k.a. Project X Special Edition. My preference is the original version, but that could of course be because that is the version of the game I had and remember.

Remember this tune from the game Project X from the early 90s. Sweet game and rocking tune. Fun fact: This tune was also used in a viral video from Toms Hardware in the early 2000s. They wanted to test how processors from AMD and Intel responded to removing the cooler while the CPUs where under full load. So they fired up Quake III Arena, and filmed the screen and the CPUs while taking the cooler off and on again. The Intel CPUs clocked down causing the game to slow down, but clocked right back up when the cooling came back. The AMD CPUs caught fire! All accompanied by the sound of this sweet 4chan mod :-)

Artist=4mat, id 83394. I am currently checking out the back catalog of 4mat stuff, both mod and xm stuff. And this one really stands out. The melodies he is able to conjure up is just amazing. I just wish this mod lasted longer. Ten hearts out of ten <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

This was used in the the demo State of the Art by Spaceballs. The demo was basically an MTV music video on a floppy, and completely blew my mind back then. And the music was a big part of that. Funfact: My little sister used to mock me because I would record some of my favorite computer music from games, demos and modules to tape and listen to it on my walkman. But one day she came bursting into my room and wanted to know what song I was playing. I was watching State of the Art, at high volume. I ended up taping the song for her, and she never mocked me about listening to music from the computer again :-)

Like Tor Inge, I remember getting this along with Protracker on a CU cover disk. I was already using MED at that time, and didn't find a compelling reason to ditch it in favour of PT. But this module just blew my socks off from the first note, and still rocks me to this day. Total 10/10.
