Hiya,

I usually write a lot of chiptune/jazz/prog based music. For s3xmodit, I use OpenMPT as my main weapon of choice.

My website (which has MP3s and other things):
fodxm.co.uk

I also have soundcloud/youtube if that's your sort of thing:
soundcloud.com/fod-steve
www.youtube.com/user/fodsteve1

I also make FTM/NSF chiptunes (for playback on Famitracker):
2a03.free.fr/?p=pub&dir=Fearofdark :)

I am curious if there is any way I could get the file for "Staying Afloat"? I love that song a lot.

Blue Christmas: you can start with OpenMPT, it's free, although it's really hard to learn how to use, but once you got the right grip you can start vibin'

Re: Hi, I'm curious about the process of actually making modules. Where do you start? How long does it take? And how do you make each song sound so "full"? I'm an amateur, so I have no idea how this is supposed to work.

Hey you. Your music is awesome!
Is it Ok if I have your song "Surfing on a sinewave" in a compilation album I call "Tracked music vol.1" which I'll release for free on my website calleedlund.se? In a .txt file I'll include the samp/message text but exclude any e-mail etc

Credit Music very much it was pleasant. Tomorrow I will listen to all other your songs. How it is possible to manage to make such "chaotic", at first sight, a melody, such pleasant?

You are amazing for your age. I am one year older than you if your profile is up-to-date, but I am so far behind you. You must have some real talent to churn out such stylish music. Thanks for liking my song "Spectre" on 8bc a while back, I think it's cool when talented musicians complement my amateur stuff. :)

FearofDark: Either switch to the .IT or fix your tunes so they sound right in XMPlay (for the arpeggio, downsample the waveform once or twice, it will sound right then) as OpenMPT's XM compatiblity is still far from great, but I'm working on it. XMPlay on the other hand is the most accurate player outside FT2 for XM files. Just remember to enable "FT2 compat. playback" in the song proprties in OMPT.

Re: I've had this problem with previous songs. The only XM player I have (besides MPT) is XMplay, and most of my songs don't work on it. I haven't really found a way around it without making the filesizes rediculously huge. I just downloaded the new version of MPT, so i'll try it out

Re: Nice new tune. However, it sounds wrong in any really XM-compatible tracker/player because of the arpeggios (they exceed the note limit). The latest version of OpenMPT (1.17.03.02, get it at the OpenMPT forums) fixes that in "XM compatible mode", so it tune sounds as horrible as in other good trackers then. :)
