mpxvm: Great, thanks a lot for the detailed explanation and additional examples. Option 1 and the basic principle is what I think of first when I hear the word "collab".

Re: Communication is made by email in 100% of cases. We just do a ping pong with the track, changing back and forward the track, notes arrangement, adding new samples or changing samples, until we commonly agree that sounds good. Option 1. We start from some samples and continue to build some idea, and then start to build the song, pattern by pattern, 1-4 patterns pro ping pong iteration. Option 2. Same as Option 1 only that, we have a pattern as idea and try to iterate from there. This is mostly how I create songs, If you check pattern 00 from all my XM, there is the song idea with drums and everything. The collab advantage is that we learn from each other and combine the best skills. adkd (govatsapadam)for example is very good at disrupting the song line, he makes breaks and turns the boring repetition in something new and more interesting idea. https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=191585 https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=191397 Psirius is a master of details and can create incredible background sound and variations https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=183998

Re: Cool, I like the result. I definitely hear your inspiration in this track. I love how you mixed those obsolete ST-01 sample disk samples. Never done a collab, so I'm wondering which form of communication (text, voice, etc) do you suggest to use during the collab? Text is preferable, but any options will be considered. Can you please describe briefly the process of making a collaboration module? I know that FUMIX 100 was made by you and adkd (govatsapadam) together, so how does the creation process looked like? Possibly I'm asking a noob question, but I'm just curious, and perhaps someone who visits this page in the future is asking the same question. I will be grateful for answers to these questions.

Re: If you change your mind, I am here ready at any time for collab. FUMIX240 which is on pending, was inspired by dog75.mod samples. I added some extra samples for percusion and kick and bass too. I also set fadeout and panning on synths to get some more stereo :D Here is the Youtube version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdlu5zKPdVc

Re: I'm happy to hear that my music has inspired you. Looking forward to your new tracks. Thank you very much for your collab invitation, I will keep it in mind. To be honest, my passion for music has faded noticeably after 2018. You can see this by the fact that I haven't uploaded any modules in 2019 and 2021, and have uploaded only 5 modules in 2022. Still hoping to upload some new modules in 2023, however.

mpxvm: This is a funny coincidence. When I described my imagination in the comment to this song, I could not even imagine that our visual images would be so similar.

Re: You have ready pretty good my mind on "peace inside me". My vision was me, standing on rocks or beach, in front of ocean, alone, watching the ocean or see after sunset, in silence, hearing the waves. :D

mpxvm: No problem. I also have a feeling that I would implement the same idea differently today when I re-listen my old modules, but I take it for granted because experience comes with time. Lack of any special knowledge is not an obstacle to the creation of good works, there are examples of this. I enjoy listening to your modules, both old and new. Thank you for continuing this long-lasting series of well made modules.

Re: Thanks for the generous notes, you are very kind as always. Many times when I re-listen my old stuff I think: ah, I've could do that in better ways. It's always a challenge to transpose into a finit song shape the idea from that stuck in head, without knowing the best techniques or without musical knowledge wich I don't have. But is an reward to acknowledge that maybe is a blue print for the next songs which can be inspired by the sound or re usage of the instruments :)

mpxvm: You are always welcome.
In the case of FUMIX 041, it was love at first sight. I listened to it when it was released in July 2019, and I already planned my rating on it. But because I started being more active on TMA only a month later, in August 2019, by posting comments on modules that I have downloaded to my collection since October 2015 (to organize my comments and favourites plan, I even have to make spreadsheets, where I divide modules into parts – I downloaded 7972 modules in 2019, so I divided them into 57 parts, each contains from 101 to 200 modules), I got to this module just yesterday, so sorry for any possible inconvenience. I follow the principle "Better late than never".
A 10 out of 10 is absolutely deserved in this case, well done.

Re: You are very kind giving to my song 10 from 10, it wasn't planned to be that dark that FUMIX 041, it was probably a mix of hazard, the universe wanted to be in that way because I have no plans when I start a new song, everything starts from scratch touching some notes and shaping the first melodic idea. In comparison with my last 3 new modules yes, that 041 is a weirdo :)) The funny thing is that, having more then 400 created modules, I can't remember all of them so, some of the times I rediscover my work re-listening some of these old tracks when I get feedback from You and other modarchive users. :)

Re: In the future, I would appreciate if you could post on the forums if you think a module is broken and needs to be replaced. That would make it much easier to track (hah) the information. Cheers!

Re: Hello, Saga Musix! I actually thought that the replaced file was damaged, but I haven't thought that there is a correct version of this module on TMA, because I found the broken file just by using the "Random Pick!" function repeatedly one day in 2017. Recently I found the broken module again in my collection of modules and decided to leave a comment on it only to draw attention to the fact that it was a bad file to download. Thanks for your information, anyway.

Re: Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that I had to remove your comment from 23 - in fact it was not a comment on this exact file, but on a duplicate, broken file. The broken duplicate has since been replaced by the correct file. It's still a difficult file to play correctly (the next OpenMPT update will get it right), for now it should best be played with Deliplayer. But rest assured, the file is not broken and not as terrible as this broken conversion suggested. :)

Re: Your version, of course, sounds definitely better than the original version from me. I will try to seriously work with panning in my future modules and I am really glad to hear that other people do remakes of my modules – I really appreciate that. Thank you.
