artist Composed late summer 1996.

I don’t remember why I felt that this song was necessary.

This was my second remake of a previous track I had composed. The first was OUTCAST ][, a remake of...well...O U T C A S T. In that case, the remake was substantially different from the original. In this case, the difference from the original is barely noticeable. Even when I updated Time and Eternity - and I never released the update, until recently - it had more differences from the original than this one. This one just feels like a few minor tweaks.

The sample set, like the original, mostly comes from Equinox by Ratz. I added a guitar sample, which is very quiet, and was my preferred guitar sample from my early tracks.

I’m not 100% sure when I completed this but based on the comments I obviously completed it after Inclined and Unplugged&eatingagrapefru. I mention Ghoulies and Ghosties as well in the post-script, but I probably added that text long after actually completing this song. I have a hard time believing that I composed this after Ghoulies and Ghosties: by that point my standard of quality was high enough that I doubt I would have composed this at that point.

From my original comments, I was right about my early tracks not being as good as they could be. I don’t know what I meant by completely changing my tracking methods, though. That was a more gradual change than a sudden, dramatic one.

The Arcturus Theme Song
THE SEQUEL!!!

Here is the sequel to one
of my first (and best)
works! This track was
designed for stereo sound
(unlike its predecessor),
so the sound quality is
a bit better. The
changes in this track are
more subtle than the
changes in O U T C A S T
and OUTCAST ][

I think everybody else
should have a theme song!
The Pro said his theme
song is going to be
everything about him, not
just some raving techno
track. I can see it now:

The Pro's Theme Song:
Cammies, Paintball,
Computers and Girls!

:)

Personally, I think that
a theme song should just
be a cool track that
people like! :)

Hard to beat the original
which is still an ex-
cellent track, despite
being a very early one!
The only two tracks that
might be able to top it
would probably be
UAEAG and Inclined! (I
mean tracks of that time)
Enjoy.

(c) 1996 Nucleus Software

You see, now that I've
completely changed my
tracking methods, I
realize that most of my
earlier tracks (Basically
everything before Ghouls
and Ghosties) aren't as
good as they could be,
except a few!
