At first this sounded a lot like Dawn of Pendragon, but it quickly progressed into a climactic battle tune, then immediately falling into the aftermath - gloomy and dark. It's a nice touch how Nightbeat uses the emotion in music to tell a story like he does with the whole Once and Future King series. The Wicked Day is overall a very powerful piece if a bit short. Again this sounds professional, like it belongs in a movie. It sounds more like an entire orchestra than just a 12-channel s3m. It's really remarkable how Nightbeat manages to give each song its own identity (and using practically the same samples for each one, at that) while they all contribute to something greater than one song..

 Then rose the King and
 moved his host by night,
 and ever pushed Sir
 Mordred, league by
 league, back to the
 sunset bound of
 Lyonesse.
 There the pursuer could
 pursue no more, and he
 that fled no further fly
 the King.
 Nor ever yet had Arthur
 fought a fight like this
 last, dim, weird battle
 of the west, where
 friend and foe were
 shadows in the mist, and
 friend slew friend not
 knowing who he slew.
 Last, a dead hush fell,
 and there came a bitter
 wind, clear from the
 north, and blew the mist
 aside, and the pale King
 glanced across the field
 of battle, but no man
 was moving there, nor
 any cry heard thereon.
 Then spoke Arthur to
 Sir Bedivere: "Alas,
 on my heart hath fallen
 confusion, till I know
 not what I am, nor
 whence I am, nor whether
 I be King.
 Behold, I seem but King
 among the dead."
 Then spoke the bold Sir
 Bedivere: My King, king
 everywhere! I still live
 who love thee, but who
 hates thee, he that
 brought the heathen back
 among us, yonder stands,
 Mordred, unharmed, the
 traitor of thine house."
 Then spoke the King:
 "My house hath been my
 doom, but King am I,
 whatsoever be their cry,
 and one last act of
 kinghood shalt thou see
 yet, ere I pass."
 And uttering this, the
 King made at the man.
 Then Mordred smote his
 liege hard on that helm
 wich many a sword had
 beaten thin, while
 Arthur at one blow,
 striking the last stroke
 with Excalibur, slew
 him, and all but slain
 himself, he fell.
