nice techno tune! i like the main theme and everything around - but it's truly strange that there's only a bass drum on every second beat - really, really strange! it's also a bit repeatitive, but still enjoyable!

okay, the guitar sample goes on for almost the whole song, so it's a bit repetitive, but still enjoyable. The drum sections are well-made :) i especially like the string sampels :)

This is a funky and very happy tune by Tito. There is a catchy bassline, nice melodies, a groovy rhythm and great variation! The leads are played on a flute and a nice synth sound, the chords are played on the piano and strings. The transitions between the different themes are just perfect. In fact, this tune never gets boring during the whole three minutes, it keeps interesting for all the time, as it varies a lot. The start is very promising, the groovy beat begins, then the bassline comes in, the tune builds up nicely - and all expections are fulfilled! I especially adore the changes in the chords and melodies. All in all, a very catchy and insanely happy peace of music! Okay, let's start with the samples. They are all in 8 bit quality, but they don't sound bad! To reduce file size, some samples are looped, although they should not be (e.g. Crash Cymbal) - they are faded out using instrument envelopes. But I didn't notice this while listening to the song, so it's no real issue. Let's talk about the patterns: The tune uses an alternating Fxx effect (Set Speed) to create the groovy rhythm. Tito uses a lot of effects in the tune, it's technically very advanced. Tito shows what he is able to do in this module: Nice usage of effects, spicing up samples and many other things.

okay, this tune was made to be looped. a "real" tune should not be looped IMO (i'm not talking about game tunes now). but on the other side, this tune is pretty relaxing! the voice sample fits very well. what i especially like are the bassline and the 808 drums. the rythm is very nice. t'is a very good and relaxing module!

Funkey! This is a 4chn module, believe it or not :) It got a really nice rythm and a cool bassline, a great chord progession (the piano part). The intro part is very promising, the piano chords, the high strings... great! and the tune keeps on that level, i adore it! nice vibez!

This is the title tune of the game "overdrive". It sounds brilliant for a 4chn module! In the beginning, i only had a MO3 version of this tune and i wondered about the high quality. When i got the MOD version, i was stunned about the small samples! Especially that guitar / synth sound is really great. I also like the chords very much.

Aah, steelchambers! That tune brings back great memories! this tune (and the whole game) was totally overwhelming when i saw that on our pc for the first time - Pinball Fantasies could play this module even through the PC Speaker, and the quality was nice! But on a soundcard, this sounds even better. Great harmonies, nice usage of samples and effects! This tune has many different part, they are really nice mixed together! The last (fast) part is one of the coolset, but I can't really decide which one's is the best, as they are all cool! Get this tune! Get this game. You won't regret. It's one of the best MOD files that exist IMHO!

This is the "Death Rally" menu tune. When I heard this for the first time, i was really sure that this was NOT a module - but when i found these tunes at the mod archive, i was really surprised. Purple Motion makes a great usage of the main loop (that sitar-like sound) and the slightly overdriven drums really add to the atmosphere. all in all: perfect menu tune ;) If you want to have a listen to the other Death Rally tunes, check: Track one - hispeed / Hispeed - track whatever.. / Fast-D / Track (futuristic) / Hispeed - track II / Hispeed hazard / Citylights - Citytrack / Botswana hard - JungleTrack / Paavinkatu blues

Funky! Another "Death Rally" tune. This tune has some bad samples - the lead sound has very low quality, that's why i only give this module 8pts. The Voice samples are also downsampled. But still, this tune is very great and really fits into the game.

The beginning of this tune sounds like classical / film music, lateron, it turns rather into pop music. overall, it's a relaxing tune, but the bad piano sample does not really fit here. I think it really destroys the tune. But still, it's not too bad.

Late At Night.... Ah i love this tune! it's so relaxing! The first half minute is pure rythm with a strong bass drum, then the piano arp fades in slowly, and everything develops. zanoma makes a nice use of a d&b drumline, it fits very well. my favourite part of this tune is around 5:30. i will stop writing for now, just download this tune, download modplug if you don't already have it and listen!

this is one of best modules i have ever heard! the mix is very professional, the melodie aswell as the techniques are superb! but hey, this is not ambient at all - this is trance :D really good trance. believe me :)

The best c64 remakes i ever heared! Jogeir did a great job, again. His typical drum style fits well into the c64 tracks. and to be honest, i like this version better than the original files without drums! Especially part one is very impressive.

Great techno tune! The drums are a bit soft but I was surprised how good they sound in the mix! They really add to the piece. Well, the beat is fine in general (some may dislike it coz it's repetitive, but i like this style!) and the melodies are very good. I recommend this tune to everybody :) It's really great.

This is Elwood's greatest tune! It's just perfect! Again, Elwood turns crappy samples into one of the most wonderfull songs i have ever heard - and you don't even notice that they are from so bad quality. When i listened to this tune for the first time, the intro already caught me. i wanted to listen to more of this stuff - and the tune became even better! The tune is so insanely happy, really! Get it! now! :)

This is imho Elwood's second-best tune. i LOVE those synth chords and HELL, i love the whole tune - it's one of the best modules I ever heard, especially coz it uses crappy samples. You don't even notice that they are crappy when they are played together! This is a REAL must-have tune! Get it, NOW! It really hurts me that someone rated this lower than 9...

I can fly! Tito did a really GREAT job here! Nice theme combined with fast techno - i can really image this music in a trick film, and the title really fits to this imagination :) old samples, well put together - this is a must-download!

Great tune! It includes many different parts, each one is a new experience. It's so groovy and a real pleasure to listen to it. Okay, the piano sounds bad in the high octaves, but that's the only "mistake" that i can spot. however, after some time, you get used to it.

Great remix of the classic by Robert Miles. It's a very detailed remix, it almost sounds like the original track. There are some newe ideas in it which i really like... Very good for its time and still nice to listen to :)

Another classic by nightbeat - his techno tunes are soooo great :D Again, he uses well-known samples in a completely new manner (imo) and yeah, this roxx in general :D I recommend this tune to everyone who likes fast techno, you should also listen to the other stuff by Nightbeat ;)

Nightbeat did a great job here. he used the "digital dream" samples by skaven in an very interesting way, just like in those old rave productions :D The songwriter uses also well-known samples in a completely new manner and produces a great atmosphere. one of my favs, definately ^^

I really recommend this module to everyone. This is well-done drum & bass in 12 channels - There are nice samples, cool effects and a relaxing mood which wants you to listen to more modules by anubis instantly :))

The title of this file says everything. This tune only consists of a beat and some effects. It is 3 minutes long and has only a few patterns which are looped multiple times. With every new pattern, there come some new drums or effects. But: There's no melody at all! I like monotonous music, but this is not monotonous, it's utter crap! The beat is a "four to the floor" beat and there is a standard 909 bass drum and snare. The only interesting part of this tune are the rhythmic effects. But even these get boring after 3 minutes, because they do not differ. In the end, the track gets faster and faster and suddenly stops. It sounds like the author was bored and did not know how to end this endless beat. My conclusion is that this track could be very cool if there was a melody. Some parts of the beat are very interesting, but they have to be linked with a bassline and some pads to be listenable. There are a few patterns, like said, they are repeated all the time. This tune is a standard MOD file with 4 channels, so there are only 8 bit samples. The drums and effects are techno style (909 drum set) and totally overdriven. A good point is that they seem to be self-made. The author barely uses MOD effects, the only effects which are used are note delay, volume and tone slides.

This track has a nice dark atmosphere. there are great samples (i think i even recognize this speech sample from GTA 1 :-) and it seems to be well-done (without looking at the mod itself, it's playing at nectarine!)

Eagle wants us all the time not only to vote on tracks we love - so i picked this tune :) seems like the author just got the ST-20 disk and stuffed around with the samps on it :D at least, it made me laugh! But I can't give 3 points here, coz it's NOT listenable ;)
