Sooooo I had a friend where I was working at the time who was very into battleships and kept asking me when I was going to write "thunder of the guns" - pretty sure it was a joke but I did it anyway.

Started with "bom-bom-bom-boom" you can hear at the end of some sections and worked outwards. - aymes
