Yeah, this is a great track. The rhythm flows, the beat is repetitive, but grooves. Nice transistions and a nice break-beat. Definately a driving song, which is why most Trance-type songs make good driving songs. (i.e. Autobahn by Kraftwerk) This Track had a "Kraftwerk-esque" sound to it. Very pleasing and nice to hear. Poison Mick Ivy sounds to me like a good tracker.... Knows what he's doing in certain respects. I'd like to see him track more in Impulse Tracker so he has a wider range of filters and plug-ins to play with. I haven't heard anything else by him yet, but i'm sure they are good. The tech level in this track is good and Mick...keep up the good work.

organs string snare ztic kick snare erm chord bassline ztring highstring tom tiny tom kickdrum tamborin "Upstream Waterfall" (c) Poison Mick Ivy !!! TURN UP THE BASS !!! The third "Slowstar to Speedfreak". jungler then the second, but less drum'n'bass then the frist. so there we have it. this is what the series is supposed to lie in between of...! you may notice that I tried to apply some mellow- features to this tune, so make up your own mind and tell me if you like one! the adress to write to: kamermans_compuserve.com for the new, all-improved homepage, the adress is the same : ourworld.compuserve.com/ homepages/kamermans the new improved version has all my files on it, so you can download anythin you want to hear! (every song also has describtions now... makes it a bit easier to choose) This song, unlike the first two song, is 7:28 minutes, and thus proves that not the entire seires will be shortlived modules ;) if you like this module, make sure to get the other tunes in this series! 1) Purple Haze / Blue Haze 2) Slowstar to Speedfreak 3) Upstream Waterfall so far, three tunes, I'm sure there'll be more, so brace yourselves! (promises, promises :) why this tune? why the organs and jungle beat? erm... yeah I liked the first sample so much that I decided to make a tune with it, and it just had to be jungle. so there you have it. the story to fit the mod..like it? it's not long, but it won't get longer by thinking of stuff that actually never happened... :) ENJOY! -PmI ERD 26 July 1997 A.d.

Whoever classified this as trance, doesn't know much about music :D This is Jungle/ DnB, and is quite good.
