So this demo and The Red Sector Mega demo were part of my introduction to Amiga and it cemented my life long association with Amiga. Great tune to, never gets old always seems like a fresh tune.

One of the best MODS of the 90s. The theme hasn't aged a single bit. The sample quality though, has. Fortunately, you can find an updated HD version on one the Scene Sat albums (bandcamp release).
Great work by Romeo Knight.

This is a classic track that even now doesn't sound dated, at least to me. At the time it as mind-blowingly good!

This used to be my favourite song in the scene... and it still chills me! A great masterpiece of art... really.

One of the best tracks ever on the good old AMIGA

This song is smooth, groovy and yet at the same time it's catchy, which makes this song the type of song that I like to listen to

yeah, indeed. it is simple, it is simple, but it kicks butts so much that it is highly recommended for all those who love oldskool or who's gonna love oldskool.

How comes that I haven't commented on this yet? Cream of the Earth is so excellent, well tracked, just wonderful. Enjoyed Xerxes' and Romeo Knight's new take in their concert at Breakpoint 08, but the old module is still awesome as well.

Romeo Knight must be one of the first superstars of tracking, certainly that I ever knew of... This track shows just why he was so good. With the limitations of the 4-channel mod, this track manages to have a kak load of texture, with some sublime percussion. The leads are bit kak themselves, but overall the tune is enjoyable!.

Oldskool - no question. Cream of the Earth is one of those mods that's on nearly every mod collection CD released since 1994 or something - I've had it appear on at least 12 produced Public domain CD collections so it's definitly out there as a classic of sorts ;). The samples are the typical type to be expected of the time, this is overall an enjoyable MOD which calls back to the days of the old use of punchy synthpad-chords to do most of the fill word. The melody itn't much to comment on until later on - it's fairly hollow sounding synthlead suits the stacatto'ed accompinant well. If you're an oldskool fan, grab this.

Have no doubt - there is superb music written within the 4 channels of this MOD. This was probably a cutting edge music back in 1990, when it was created, according to the title. It seems that this song was composed by Romeo Knight of Red Sector (thanks to Tommy Mikalsen for sharing this info). cebit.mod and cebit-90.mod are the same file, i.e. they contain the same music. And my, what a great music it is! This tune can teach you most directly about gating of sounds. If you happen to be learning how to track and may have difficulty understanding what gating is all about, open and play this tune, to catch a glimpse of this powerful tracking technique - in each pattern you'll find a gated sound, whether it is a chord, lead or background sound. This song is full of sound all the time while you hear it; you will be focused on this tune all the time while you are listening to it, for sure.
