The song has mixing issues. I can't really hear the bass at all, the lead is too quiet, the different chords don't seem to mix together, there is no clear hierarchy at all when it comes to the mixing.
It's a real shame, too, because the remix has a lot of potential. The original song this remix is based on is also pretty meh, and this remix does build on it quite a bit. It's just a shame that the compositional refinements are ruined by the poor mixing.
