Hi...it's certainly been a while, hasn't it?
What prompted me to track traditionally again?
Nothing special...

I fell in love with KATANA's (aka Matthijs Breijer)
remix of "Essence of Life" when I first discovered
it. Through repeated listens, I became inspired
enough to make my own remix based on the original.

I've been wanting to try mimicking mid-10's UK Hard
Trance akin to Criostasis, Lee Walls, Clayfacer, etc.
I know I could've done it better. It's my first time
attempting such a style, so cut me some slack
alright?

By the way, here's a neat mixing trick which trackers
often overlook in their module productions:
                Phase Correcting

Certain samples (most notably drums) when triggered
together will 'cancel' each other out in the shared
frequencies, resulting in a weaker sound. This is
called phase cancellation.

The simplest solution would be to invert one of the
affecting samples. Do note that you might have to do
this for the others as well. So make sure to isolate
and identify whether any other sample needs
inverting.
