                               LYRICS:

Verse 1:

Thundering rain, and lightning,
drive, us on, to our destiny
Hardened - by - battle - we range,
Across, the plains, of war!!!

Chorus:

Lords of the battle, lead by blinding rage
Undefeated, we stop at nothing,
Knowing only victory, no enemy shall stand
Crushing all before us as we ride!

Verse 2:

The blood of our foes...
dries, upon, our armour
Our blades, covered in their ichor...
the last, of their, remains.

Chorus repeat

Ooh!

Verse 3:

Hurtling into furious battle
Clashing steel\leather\metal
Glimpse of terror in their eyes
- forsee the end of life!

Verse 4:

Lust for blood, the blood we spill
Weaker men are sent to Hell
Only the strong shall survive as we lead men to death!

Verse 5:

Now the enemy are fallen,
pillage plunder over-run them
Burn their fields and families
and bring their world unto it's, knees!

Battle-blade Warriors!!!

Verse 6:

Having conquered all before,
we ride on forever more
Years have passed but we stand firm,
the warriors of death!

Verse 7:

Growing old - but never tired
we have but one request:
That we should die, battling,
on the, eternal quest!!!

Fill Verse:

Battle-blade... (warriors!)
Battle-blade... (for victory)
Battle-blade... (warriors!)
Battle-blade!!!

And for shit-sakes, play
this fucking track in IT
or Modplug only!!!...and
I fuckin' mean it! :)

Well... this time I
thought that I would try
something different, more
in the vein of one of my
earlier mods, "Call Of
The Lost Souls", to
complement the pure death
track "Final Battle",
which is also on this
m-disk.

I experimented with the
recording and mixing of
the vocal style, and
unfortunately, I think
that I screwed-up some-
what... Forhekset's vox
came out fine, but my
own sort-of disappeared,
I think it was a combi-
nation between the mixer
settings and the fact
that I was still coming
out of a cold at the time
... also, I tried to sing
my lowest pitch possible,
throughout the song, and
so my throat was really
cracking-up after I
recorded those vox! :)

BTW, no vocals were
lowered, or octaves
effected, nor were any
effects used to prolong,
enhance or "boost" the
voices in this track,
except for samples 47 &
48. The only other post-
recording changes were
the cleaning of samples
via "hiss reduction"
and the downsampling
using Cool Edit Pro.

This song is deliberately
dedicated to the fury of
war, as opposed to the
other track which I wrote
to illustrate the point-
lessness of war... so,
you get two perspectives,
- it's up to you to
decide with which you
agree... :)

This was one of the
hardest songs to make
that I've ever attempted,
and I feel that in some
ways, it defeated me...
but I hope you will enjoy
it all the same...
