Fast paced, AMAZING rhythm, and, I dunno what else to say. It would damn sure (if entered in a contest) would place the top three. This module, (at least from my perspective, lol) is probably the one that would top the rest.
My god there's 32 channels. Sounds like a soundtrack you'd find in an old advertisement or film. An atmospheric background sound effect excellently hides some of the poor sides of the samples. My complaint is: Not enough bass! XD
This one is the first Module I have played made by Anvil himself, awesome one, 10/10.
An amazing XM, with a great intro, tons of variety, and very nice sounding instruments. Obvious inspiration has been drawn from Elwood's modules, so if you liked Elwood's work in the mid-late 90s, you'll love this song too.
THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST MODULE IN THE ENTIRE MOD ARCHIVE. DOWNLOAD IT NOW!
I completely love this song, it's my favorite module of all time. I find myself listening to this song every day.
Anvil, in my opinion, is the best tracker of all time, and when I listened to this song, I was speechless. This song is Anvil's heart and soul; I wish he still tracked, but unfortunately, I don't know what happened to him. He's probably still making music, just under different software and under a different name.
Anvil's use of samples in this song is great! He manages to have you pulled in after the first few patterns, and keeps you listening!
If you haven't added this one to your collection, please do so!!!!
I´m not a fan of "disco stuff". But I like this music. Very great melody and a very good background.
Very good stuff!
A few years ago when I first heard this song I thought it was similar to something I had heard before, but just couldn't put my finger on it. Then in some wacky coincidence while I was playing a directory full of mods on shuffle, the song "Sweet Dreams" played right after this one; and then it clicked.
Around the 2:36 mark of this song, you'll notice that Anvil uses the riff from "Sweet Dreams" by Elwood. Some may view this as musical plagiarism, but like they say "imitation is the highest form of flattery." I think Anvil varied it enough to have it's own personality as it were.
Either way, I enjoyed this tune...
This tune is great. :) What I really like in this tune is the melodies. They're really awesome.
[and as a side note it's used in one of the greatest fan-made levels for the game Jazz Jackrabbit 2, namely "Jungle's Edge" :)]
