One of the first tracks (aka music modules) I ever heard when I were just a "newbie" in this new game that changed my life in the 2003/2004. So, it's pretty easy for me to remember it as one of those anthems that made me discover this music format. Brilliant chord changes, melodies, and a pretty happy thing that sometimes makes me cry aswell... Of joy of course.

I'll be up-front: If you don't like long pieces, loads of tempo changes, orchestral influences, or sampled pianos and trumpets, you're going to hate this track.

Me, I love all those things. This is one of the most epic mods ever. It starts off like an anthem or a march, then kicks into a strange kind of orchestral dance fusion, and continues to evolve and play variations on its central melody for 11 straight minutes.

Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes mournful, sometimes all but unbearably cheerful, it's good stuff.

This is one of my all-time favorite mods, if not one of my all-time favorite pieces of music. Dead serious. Back in the day, this was the track that proved to me that mods could be more than just chiptunes or cheesy remixes of pop songs (I was a snobby kid, alright?).

Side note: be sure to play this in a proper tracker; it kind of exceeds the web player's abilities. I've found Milkytracker handles it pretty well, YMMV.

Damn, this tune is cheeeeeeesy! The beginning reminded me of Nightbeat's orchestral work, but it instantly turns out to be very cheesy. Just like the rest of the tune, especially the trumpet melodies... I know this is old but long, but why does it have to be so cheesy?!

Using a new variety of instrument arrangements and up to 10 channels, Counterpoint embelishes on his already satisfying piece "ctpoint.mod". If you appreciate mods then you can definitely appreciate this masterpiece, if not love it.

This is probably one of the best XM-songs ever made. I haven't taken the time to listen to Counterpoints of Westower´s other songs, but that's because I couldn't find ém on the previous modarchive-site. Now, however, I have all of his songs and I will take a good listening.

May the MOD-community live forever!

Best Regards
Cyn

This sounds great. This song is just like the one nwxt to. (ctpoint.xm) But this one is even better. the artist added a bassdrum and got some different rythm. This sound s almost perfect, ther is just a part in the middle of the song that's got a other style. If that eould be changed I would have given this song a 10, no doubt about that. This artist really works with the instrumens, and makes it sound great. He/she uses a lot of tones but that is absolut no disadvantage. I just want to say something to the artist: Keep up that good work and make mor of this kind of songs.

I thought this song
might sound better
as a multi-channel
song and the Amiga
side of music doesn't
have anything like
FastTracker II yet.
