I have a feeling that this guy's experience comes from another musical area (ie. not tracking), and this shows in the fact that he has a basic understanding of chords, harmonies, and melody, but executes them badly. The tune drags on, offering no real hook in the rambling melody and the chords allways seem slightly out of tune. As I said before, I have a feeling that this guy has little experience with trackers and this shows in the poor use of samples, non-existant effect usage and shoddy, boring and uninspiring percussion. I think that Mr. Ahlin should spend a few weeks just listening and taking notes from artists such as Lizardking, Skaven, Elwood etc... and then working out how they acheved their masterpieces. I look forward to reviewing his next tune.
