Leviathan is a wonderful composer. Of the two songs I have reviewed (Tranquility and Wanderlust), I have enjoyed both of them. They have both been straight soft rock, and have been done beautifully. My main complaint with this song is that it starts out too abruptly. The saxaphone melody is quite nice, however. One other thing that caught me off guard, and that I haven't figured out whether I like or dislike, is the drum section at 1:25. The way the samples are split between the left and right channel is a bit disturbing, but provides a nice break. Leviathan's skills certainly seem to be adapted to soft rock, for he does it so well. The melodies are well put together and sound pleasing to the ear. The chord progression of this piece was a bit ordinary, but it worked well. The transition between sections (for instance at 0:40) are nicely done, especially the modulation (which other, cutting-edge genres of music commonly lack).

  This is my latest effort
  to stray away from the
  "mechanical" sound of
  computer music into the
  more realistic style of
jazz. I tried to add more
  feeling to the leads, and
  I've come to realize that
  with enough effort,
  tracked music can be much
  more expressive than some
  admit. Enjoy the tune.
