Technically very good, but I've never been a big fan of this track which seems to wander a little aimlessly and comes off as a bit of a pale imitation of UnreaL ][ / PM to me.

In my opinion this song is Vogue's best solowork. Demostylish techno which was common for songs back from the early 90's. I guess he was inspired by Purple Motion's Unreal2 song which was made the year before this one. It is the same style but not the same variation. The tune could be much longer and sounds unfinished with the abrupt ending. But still this song is very cool and most enjoyable. Vogue, is one of the creators of Fasttracker2. He is a great coder and a great musician too. In this song he uses some of the nice features in Ft2. The multisample instruments is a good example. Have a look at it and it can make your tracking easier. Morphing is another feature which uses the multisample system. In this tune Vogue created several instruments by using the Morph feature in FT2. The help file provided with FT2 doesnt explain much about morphing. But I can explain shortly what i have learned myself. __________________________________________________________ Morph creates a series on samples out of two samples. It is simply a kind of mixing theese samples toghether in a specified amount of samples. For example, On instrument 00 and sample 00 draw a typical sinewave (cubic spline) in the sample editor. Then draw another sinewave (linear) in sample 03. Loop both samples. Then mark sample 00 and click morph button. In the dialog box, type 03. Now you have 4 different samples. For easy use you must then place theese samples in the instrument editor. That's another lesson :) (who needs filters and stuff?)(questions to me about this will not be answered via email.) __________________________________________________________ In the editor, this song isnt very advanced. But Vogue definetly knows this program in and out better than most other people. 12 Channels and good technique in this song from 1994.

Sure it may remind one of Purple Motion's famous Second Reality, but it is a catchy song, and it demonstrates the superiority of the XM format over MOD and S3M. 51 samples, though a good number of these are chip waves, and the non-chip samples are not of any outstanding quality. Still worth at least a listen.
