I wonder why nobody commented on this one yet. This is definitely one of the best rocky modules I've ever heard. Great guitar work and good samples in general that create a rather authentic sound.

This tune is simple, maybe a bit too simple. However, it was one of the first I downloaded and I still listen to this occasionally, since it's not bad. The chord progression could be improved, though, and the choir + guitar combination should not be played completely unisono, I think. Apart from that, still a nice tune.

Excellent chiptune. This can be looped for a long time without getting boring. Very nice arpeggios and chord changes, and the Invert Loop effect (EFx) is well used. The break at order 14 is pretty cool. Well done!

Coming from the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 extension "The Secret Files", this tune represents the awesome style of Alex Brandon. This is one of my favourite tunes from him. It has those melodies that are typical for his style, as well as some energetic drums. The melodies remind me a lot of his work that he has done for Deus Ex. The sliding strings in pattern 10 are simply awesome. Great tune with a lot of variation, definitely recommended.

This track is fantastic. I absolutely like the shuffled beat and the organ is also pretty funky. Not the best samples, but they do the job.

Really nice dream trance tune! Nicely long and slow build-ups, that's the way it has to be. ;) Too bad that it suffers from the typical "I use samples that are completely alien to the genre I want to make music in, because I don't have any other samples" disease from the early 90s.

The chords remind me very much of a tune by Pride and Fall called "Inside", not only it's the same chord progression, but also played in the same style. But this mod is older. But the similarities don't go much farther, this is just a mediocre trance track. :)

After the initial happiness and playfulness, the carousel "breaks" and the tune suddenly becomes very dark. This dark atmosphere is very nice, it sounds a bit depressing to me but that feeling vanishes all the time when the chords come back. And then, it all turns into a funk tune, totally unexpected and returns to the dark and depressing atmosphere - Awesome! Nice journey!

Finally, I know again where I knew this melody from, so I can comment on the tune now. :D There is a tune which uses the almsot the same melody, 2 Be With You. It's a chiptune, however this one is more like a pop ballad or something. It has rather good piano samples, nice string pads a good ongoing beat. Nice!

Glitchy electro music. I remember this from the Evoke 2009 liveset and it's just awesome! Those "raw" and glitchy samples, combined with the evergreen "Partytime" voice sample and a energetic kickdrum are so great to listen to. Well done! :D

This wicked and funky as the early 90s could be! :D Classic samples (especially the voice sample) with wicked shuffled beats and cool melodies, I love this. Especially the saw lead (sample 10) is really cool. And considering that this is even smaller than 100kb, it's even more awesome. Way to go!

I've had this tune in my playlist for a long time and I gotta say that it's some really nice funk in only 6 channels. A very nice bassline with OK brass sections (the samples are not the best, though) and good drums. Nice usage of the wah-wah.

It is beyond my understanding how one could rate this with 9/10. No, this is not retro, nor is it good. Playing drums at a lower octave than they're supposed to be is never a good idea unless you know what you're doing. This way, they just sound shitty. Apart from that, there's nothing in this tune except for a melody with the most simple accompainment that you could imagine. When there's no melody, there's a simple square wave tone, sometimes layered with the same note, just an octave higher. This is absolute beginner stuff.

I will be honest. This is not worth listening. This is neither a chip remix, nor a good sounding normal remix. The samples are slightly out of tune and of very low quality in general. Using low quality samples doesn't mean that they are chip samples. I know the original tune very well and this is nothing compared to it. It's mostly noise generated by shitty samples. It's beyond my understanding how this could be rated with a score higher than 5. This is "listenable", but nothing more. Hence 3/10.

Top-Notch. This deserved to win the tiny music compo at Evoke 2009. It's only 64kb zipped, and it has still a very awesome sound. Stomping beats, a tight bassline and great effects - This sounded so awesome on the PA and it still sounds great on a normal stereo. Way to go! :)
