It's not that often that you hear a reggae song, so it's a nice change. This one even has non-understandable vocals, which is a must in any good reggae song :-) The beat and tune are quite repetative, with slight variations, however. The vocals were recorded well, however the drums were kinda boring. The piano suited the reggae style nicely though.

The problem with this song is that it is too repetative. Sure there are new things that happen in the song, but they aren't interesting enough to deter from the fact that the same drone in the background is still going on. I think that the artist can do better. All the samples are good quality, and the bassline is nice and mellow. The synth and acid samples are well done.I feel though that the samples weren't used to their full potential.

The song has a nice tune, but it soon gets old very fast when it just repeats it over and over and over again with very small twists. Sure the synth lead might change every once in while, but then that gets looped about 4x. The main tune that you hear over and over and over is also crappy in quality, with a big fuzz to it. Hint: If you're gonna be unoriginal and loop the same stuff over and over and...you should at least make the sample of good quality! If you haven't figured out by now, the song was also quite repetative.

Well, I'm not personally a cure fan, and based on this song, I know why. The artist didn't attempt to do anything with this song; it's slow, repetative, BORING. It always ammuses me when someone likes a song so much that they go and ruin it with a bad cover. Kinda like the midi version of "Can't Touch This". You get the idea. Even the samples are kinda dull. This song is not a good representation of B-612's skill methinks. There were practically no effects used (not that that's so bad, but with this song you'd probably want as many effects as possible to cover the noise). Also the song dragged on way too long for any sane person to listen. If you're a die hard cure fan, you'd probably not like it either.

I shudder to think that this is only part 1 of what may be an ongoing series of hypnotic songs; hypnotic in that they put you to sleep. The background was neat at the start, but once the theremin-like lead kicked in, that was it for the song; it didn't seem to be the right choice of instrument. Also, the melody is boring, quite forgettable, and repetative near the end. Being a mod samples had to be a certain size, but the lead sounds like crap for that standard. The song doesn't seem to have any focus, as it's just the lead going on with random notes while the background does a couple transposes. I don't feel there was a lot of effort put into this song.

A nice starting, which then continues into a nice synth lead with a nice full sound. It's not very repetative, although the drum beat could have used more work in some parts. Also I wish the neat instruments at the starting and end were used more in between (if they were it was hard to hear them). The reason the score isn't higher is mainly due to the samples; some have a very promenant hissing or scratching, especially sample #7, the synth lead for some of the song. Also, if you listen carefully one of the background instruments seems just a tad out of tune. Although, this song is still a pleasure to listen to. It would be a good idea to do a remix with better samples.

The song has a nice starting and flows into a nice synth lead. The background is a bit repetative but the lead changes often. The song also seemed to end to fast; I would have liked to have heard what else could have stemmed from where it left off. The instruments all sounded good, except the low strings seemed to have a bit of hissing. The song flowed nicely, and the only repetative part was the supporting background. I liked the triangle/bell sample, it added a nice touch.

The song starts out nicely and goes into a deep sounding beat with electronic sounds in the background. After the first time the beat comes in, however, not much more happens in the song. It basically stays the same until the end, but it's a neat sound so it's not bad to listen to. The samples all sound good to me. The song flows nicely, although some parts sound a little empty, almost as if it needed another instrument playing or something. Also I felt that the song ended too early, before it had a chance to really develope.

FireLight is right; based on this mod, 4 track is not dead! It's very full and non- repetative, and the melody is new and capturing. The song has a nice flow to it, you don't really realized the transition between sections. For a mod the samples are of exceptional quality, even by today's high standards. A smart use of effects provided a full bodied sound to this 4 track mod. It has a nice beginning which doesn't take too long to get started. Although, I felt that the hittom sample didn't quite fit in, but that's a minor detail compared to the rest of the song.

Wow. I didn't realize this was a 4 channel xm until I loaded it up into FT and was blown away by the genious at work! It's very hard to produce a full bodied song with only 4 channels, but this artist succeeds where others have failed. The samples were high in quality, although I felt that one of the breakbeats was a bit scratchy. The artist's uses effects to their full potential. Nice panning gives this 4 channel song a very rich and full sound. There is a great speedup at the starting, and I loved it when a pattern was played backwards! I've never seen that used in a song before, so it was a nice touch! RambriX says this was his first attempt at this style of music, and he definately succeeded.

Most dance songs are repetative and tedious, whereas this one breaks the boundaries of the dance genre. The beat is almost always constant, but that's a minor flaw because the melody is ever changing and captivating. The samples are all of good quality, and all of the instruments fit in. The drum wasn't overpowering, which is a good point because sometimes it's nice to hear the other instruments used. Definately one of the better dance tunes out there.

This song starts off with a bang, immediately immersing you in its array of synthes and bass. For a .mod the song sounds incredibly full, not like some 4 channel mods i've heard before. The tune is both engaging and lively. Also the song changes pace half way through so as to vary the music. This guy is a genious; how he can make a 4 channel mod sound that good is a mystery to me. The samples are even high in quality! For a .mod that's almost unheard of. The song is never dull, and all the instruments are well chosen. Great job!

The song does definatly make you think of a cyborg, and I was sorta enjoying this song, until I heard that "hasta la vista, baby" sample. The sample basically ruined the song, and made me want to terminate it. Also the artist just kinda through in a bunch of noisy beeps and other annoying noises which didn't really add to the song. Being a mod made in 1992, by todays standards the samples are of low quality. The "hasta la vista" sample is even bad for then. The song doesn't seem to have been thought out completely, as it seems to fall apart when the artist just throws in a bunch of noisy samples that sound like a robot processing or whatever.

Starting out with a nice string set and smooth bassline, the song proceeds to a groovy beat with well placed "robotic" samples. The lead contantly changes and always to something new and refreshing. All of the samples were of high quality, and the song flowed nicely between sections. This song definately has a robotic feel to it, good job PoZoR.

This song does indeed make you think of a cyborg, with it's deep rhythms, but it turns into a kinda circus fun house song 2/3 of the way into it, and the cyborgy feeling is lost. It makes for a neat contrast though. All of the samples fitted nicely with that cyborg feeling, especially the low strings and algorithmic bass line. The song does take a while to get started, however, and repeats a lot in the middle. All of the samples were of high quality.

A well planned jazz tune which kicks off with a great sax sample and keyboard. It then progresses to different saxes like the tenor and alto with the keyboard riffs playing in the background. All in all a great song and a pleasure to listen to. All the samples are excellent, and they all fit well into the contex of the song. The song flows very well from section to section, never stumbling and never letting the listener loose interest.

This song starts with a nice string section and branches off into a piano piece with nice drums and a very good brass section. Also the song changes a few times to keep the listener interested. The only part I did not like was the use of drums around 1:50 into the song, but it's a minor detail. Well done with the samples, especially the brass section because sampled brass instruments usually sound pretty cheesy but not in this song. Good use of effects generally. The ending and starting were well done, as well as the stuff in between!

This song is more than just your standard club song, it's got a nice piano riff with some well placed effects. It flows nicely and continues to captivate the listener. However, the reason this song got a 6 and not an 8, is because later in the song one string sample cracks up totally (white noise),and i'm not sure if the artist intended it or if it was an upload error or something. But either way it seriously interrupts the song. The low mark in the tech rating is also do to that string sample. But all the other samples were great, especially that female vocal. And that flute! It sounded like it came straight outta the movie Shaft or some other 70's cop show, which makes it extraordinarily kewl. I suggest that Dj CeeRo re-upload this song due to that string sample for re-grading, because it deserves more than it got. I suggest for now that the listener should listen up to that point than either end it or skip ahead.

Typical hardcore song, and that's the reason for the grade; it's typical. If you're gonna do a staple type of song, at least make it something new and interesting, not just the same old uninteresting booming bass and sped up vocals etc. If you are a happy hard-corer though, then this song might just be the answer for U! The samples are generally good, except the drums are too loud as usual. Also the ending of the song is kinda weak.

This is basically a remix of a bunch of well known Christmas t00ns, but the artist didn't attempt to add much extra. Also there is no attempt to really flow the songs together. However, if you like Christmas tunes, then listen to this, but there's nothing original in this song. Being a .mod, and apparently written on an amiga, you can't expect the samples to be extraordinary, but for their time they were pretty good.

This song is a good representation of its genre, with a nice low quantisized guitar and the classic drum beat. Unfortunately the song isn't very interesting, and soon it begins to drag on until it's a relief when it's over. But if you're a die-hard rocker then you'd probably enjoy this song. It's hard to get/find good guitar samples, but this artist has succeeded. All the instruments fit and the harmony works.

This song is a nice trance tune to play in the background while your studying or something. It flows nicely, and from start to finish it has a nice steady beat and neat acid samples. It does get repetative though, throughout much of the song. The samples are great, especially those acid ones that play nicely in the background and add to the feel of the song. The song also has some nice effects applied loosely so not to distract the listeners.

This is one of the better Christmas t00ns i've heard, Liam totally captures that Christmas season! Although, if I was dumb and didn't know how to turn off the speakers/computer, I'd probably be listening to this song forever because it doesn't end; it just keeps going, like a certain annoying bunny. All the samples were of high quality, and everything flowed nicely. Liam used nice effects to give the song that Christmasy feel. If you like Christmas then you should listen to this song.

When I read the title I was expecting a kinda sad tune, and it was for a couple seconds, but I don't think the gaoww sample fit too well amoung it's counterparts. It takes the sadness out of the song and makes it sound like a nintendo (8bit) game. The melody was good though; it was just the sample choice that diminished this song. Well there's only three samples, so how can you go wrong? I'm wondering why two of them are the same though...

After I had been "captivated" by the cunning intro of G,G,F,F the song continuously droned on in an uncoordinated musical mess, because the tune was very repetative and not very appealing. If you're gonna make a repetative song, at least make the tune likeable so maybe people *want* to hear it a coupla times, but that ggff just didn't cut it. The samples are all of good quality, and there were some neat ones like the fuzzup and fuzzdown, but they weren't put to use very effectively.

This is a nice lil tune remixed from a game I think. It progresses to a happy dance type tune, but gets a little annoying because some of the samples should be quieter. It just seems to keep laying sounds, but doesn't adjust the volume so everything is blaring full blast. That is, however, its only bad point really. The samples are all pretty good, I didn't hear any crackling or breaking up so that is a good point. Also the wasn't any instance of "non-harmony."

As soon as I heard "are you ready for this?" I thought oh goody someone's found another use for that overused sample. Basically this song is just a big drum and some synthy stuff, that loops on and on and on. And not to mention those voice samples of "ecstacy" which abound this track too. Overuse of voices is not a good thing. Not a particularily good song to listen to, but if you like raves you'll probably like this song. Some crackling on the voice samples, but the samples are all pretty good; at least, I think they are but they're hard to hear over that thumpin' bass.

This is a great song. Ok bye. What, you want more? Ok...the beats are wicked, nice and clean. This song was written during a period of distress in magnus' life, while his xl250 bike was stolen. There is a great progression from anger --> relief in the song, which reflects him finding the bike. Great job, although the song can get a bit repetative, but never to the point of annoy...ment? Also I felt the song had some purpose, not just "well i uh made this song because i uh...?" Like I said above, the beats are all clean and crisp, and I love that high pitched synthy sample. The fat bassline fits perfectly for this song. You could also say it was a phat bassline. :-) Definately one of the songs in my collection (now).

Well, where should I start? This song could have been good, with it's "experimental" qualities, but it sounds like it only has two tracks; there is rarely more than one note playing at a time. The tune changes constantly, but unfortunately it doesn't change to anything good. Also it's kinda hard to understand 90% of them there voice samples. I think one even had feedback. Also, saying "ecstacy" a couple hundred times doesn't add to the song. This song had potential though... The voice samples were quite bad; a light hissing was always present, and a lot of them couldn't be understood. The piano sample is forgettable. So are most of the other samples. The hissing makes the song sound like it is being played through a tin can with some string.
