This has happened to me too.  Sometimes if I load a tiny xm first, and then try to load the bigger one again, it will work.  It seems to happen if I try to load 2 big XMs in succession.  As in the first poster's case, turning off the DS and trying again works too.

I read elsewhere in the forum that NT resamples wav files to 33khz, since the native sample playback rate on the DS is 33k.  Does saving files at the native sample rate prevent the resample when loading in NT?  For things like drums where you want to use the originally recorded pitch anyway, would this give you a better quality sample when played back in NT?

I want to vote this one up as well.  Currently it is hard to deal with instruments as there seems to be no way of copying instruments around, and simply being able to load up instrument defs from the filesystem would really help.
