NitroTracker Community / Re: NitroTracker-unofficial (updated fork)

The github repo is the most active spot, but it's fairly development-focused as suits a github. NitroTracker poweruser Oxygenfad has set up a discord at https://discord.gg/5tBg9FBv. It's not exactly a boomin' scene at the moment, but i love a niche community. Stop by, ask some stupid questions, post what you're workin' on, do whatever!

thanks m0d for your 'just when i was out they drag me back in' actions to maintain the integrity of the site even though you've hung up your badge and gun - outlaw hero ████.

That's some really interesting links. But, with the hi/low pass filter technique, if you're already having to open stuff up in external wave editing programs though, what's the advantage of layering a second sample that's been inverted and high-passed via wave editor to create a low pass filter, instead of just using a sample with the low pass 'baked' in? Does it allow some modulation this way?

@Rave669
I love the desk fan - 'analogue signal processing'! I have some walkmans and a crappy old mobile phone I keep around to record things onto and resample - especially something like a basic synth line, gives them a lot of texture!

I often start in a tracker bc the technical limitations kind of unlock my brain from choice paralysis, and then once I've got some cool patterns or a basic track, i'll export individual channels out to whatever DAW or similar toy i'm playing with, and do effects and 'producing' things there.

Ok so never mind me, i just realised i can rename instruments and samples from screens other than the sample/instrument editor screens (you know, ones that *do* have an onscreen keyboard). So, way to make a good first impression!
Never mind, I'll get me coat...

I should add, this is only really an issue in the screens where there isn't an onscreen keyboard i can expa~

MilkyTracker Support / MT on iPAQ 210; no onscreen keyboard popup?

Hi, I'm Dom aka A Tiny Pony, long time listener first time caller.
I have an old ipaq i use for portable synth and sample noisemaking with Sunovx, but i'm playing around with MilkyTracker to get a more 'classic' tracking experience (i dream of one day finding an old functioning Panasonic CF-Mx toughbook and running composer 669, impulse tracker and ft2 to and avoid the disappointing reality of modern life in 20xx entirely). It works great, but I can't name or rename anything because when I select text the cursor box appears but no on-screen keyboard.
Is this a known issue, is there a config thing I need to do like the 'use internal filebrowser'?
