Look what I made! / Gospel Plow
« on: June 06, 2018, 10:57:15 »
Made this one for the Nectarine radio 'traditional compo' a little while back.
All done in openMPT, but with some plugins. I intended to render some samples and make a pure .IT version to upload here but I just have not had time, so here's the encoded version:

It's a modern interpretation of the trad. American song...

« on: July 24, 2007, 09:45:23 »
so the 'Upload Rules' link on the upload page within artist area seems to be pointing at an empty page? (the header and menus are shown but no content...)
the link is:

« on: June 12, 2007, 18:15:07 »
Cannot remember who wrote this, I had it on my old compy around 2001-2002, but it's probably older than that, think it was a d/l from TiS

all I can remember is the title (blackhole junkie, possibly not spelt exactly this way..) and that it was quite short (just under 2 minutes, I think). kind of Breakbeaty... I just remember I realy liked it, if anyone has a clue what I jabbering on about please put me out of my misery...

The Lobby / Remember the first time?
« on: May 31, 2007, 10:09:39 »
Go on, then, peel back the mists of time and think! think!
what was that first mod a friend played to you whilst raving about some free music scene?

so what was your first experience with a mod?

back in the heady days of secondary school a German friend of mine introduced me to an artist called Alien... the specific track being In the dawn. I was hooked, I got me a copy of mptracker and started playing around, listening to all the tracks I could download on weekday evenings and weekends on a crummy dial-up (plus the ones I sneakily downloaded at school behind the IT guy's back, drilling holes in the 800kb floppies I had so they'd hold more tunes..) I've never looked back  :D

Tracking / lookin' for Blair soundbite
« on: March 03, 2007, 22:42:56 »
OK guys, I've hunted high and low for this, what I'm looking for is Tony Blairs speech in Paris, 27th May 1997... it's the one that has the immortal line
"Mine is the first generation able to contemplate the possibility that we may live our entire lives without going to war or sending our children to war"

if anyone can point me towards an audio or video file of this I'll love ya forever
 :D

The Lobby / Anyone know a MOD player for Palm OS?
« on: June 30, 2006, 09:45:56 »
Yeah it's probably a big stab in the dark, but it occured to me that I'd like to listen to me mods (and IT, XM...) on my Treo 650 (Half phone, half palmtop, whole bunch of fun...  :D ) which runs Palm OS

Haven't managed to find any software yet, though, so I thought I'd ask here on the off chance..

Thanks peeps

The Lobby / Introduce yourself - the Deviant
« on: June 29, 2006, 23:43:46 »
Hi, I'm the Deviant, I'm 24 from the UK.. I work for a small engineering company doing database stuff
I was actively tracking on and off between 2000 and 2004 (and was also a TiS reviewer at one point), but haven't done anything recently. Just 'rediscovered' some of my old songs though and remembered how much fun it was sooo with luck and some creative time management I may manage to take it up again. Gonna need to catch up on software and get me some nice samples first tho... :D
