The Lobby / Introduce yourself - Pineconed

I think I'll jot down a few lines here too.
I started tracking when I first found out about it 9 years ago or so.
During the first five years I made tons and tons of them but only finished a few, all of which were completely embarassing pieces of crap.
I started again a week ago when I found a tracker that I liked for XP and I have years to make up for!

Born in -82... plays guitar... and I'm a dude by the way (there seems to be a shortage of tracker chicks)

I'm mostly interested in making chiptunes at the moment. I just finished one but since I used a few seconds of a sample from NOFX - Bob in the middle of it as some sort of fun break I can't upload it, I'll have a few new ones finished soon though.

Edit: I am also a bit weird and have to edit my posts right away because the lines broke in all the wrong places...

Tracking / XM's with Skale
« on: January 01, 2007, 03:09:52 »
This is my first post here so first of all, hello everyone!  :D

When I got XP a few years ago I got totally bummed out when I noticed, to my horror, that I couldn't get FT2 to work anymore. I'm pretty much a creature of habit and didn't really like any of the other trackers I found, until I found Skale!
But I noticed that the volume of the instruments was set by a number between 0-80 (hex) instead of 0-40 (also hex) as it was in FT2...

So, if I change the volume of an instrument to let's say 40 it will be half the volume when played in Skale, but if I save it as a XM and play in in some other player/tracker will it still be half or will it be misinterpreted as full blast?
