Help me find that... / Re: AOL Mod Files Group or Keyword?

I used either Xero or RobN as an alias, also a group called Nick and the Fish. Some titles, which dear-sweet-lord I'm reaching into my brain, stuff like "Echo Keyler" and "Dudeofman"  I was doing lots of sampling from little electronic noisemakers and classic NES games.

Thanks for the help, it's a long-shot anyway, but having a jump-off point is good. Also I'll start listening to more tracker music this afternoon and that's never a bad thing :)

Thanks everyone for the tips. My memory isn't great, but it was definitely not a web interface in AOL. It was one of those group or keyword things.

I'm remembering I used the .mtm format so much back then, so it's helping me narrow down my searches.

I'm looking through Archive.org and Modland now, thank you both for the tips!

Help me find that... / AOL Mod Files Group or Keyword?

This is my first post! :)

Mod files and trackers were my first step into music creation, and would often upload my work into AOL, MANY years ago. There was a comment and rating system on there, and it was my first time getting feedback on music. This is old AOL, but not the earliest, but certainly not the latest. I think this is prior to AOL implementing a web browser.

I would love to try and track it down, and if I can't find my own, I wonder if I could run into some old tracks I loved listening to when I was younger.

Do you think I've got a shot of finding anything? Thanks!
