Time for another useless acknoledgement by me:  If you look on the front page, (at the time of this writing), you'll notice that we now have 1000 artists on the Mod Archive!  Woo!  Rejoice!

I assume you got my entry?  If not, let me know so I can attempt to send it in again.  I sent it in some days ago, but I haven't gotten any confirmation back from you or anything yet.

Hm, I didn't make a CD of my music for anyone for christmas, but I did do that for a friend's birthday a little while ago.  (I haven't made enough music to fill a new CD yet).  I have very few fans, you see, so I treat the ones I have very well.  :)

I got lots of modest but exciting stuff as gifts, among which is an external hard drive that finally gives me the room to store my collection of mods!  :D

I also got some money that's going straight towards my physics textbooks for next term!  (Quantum Physics, mmm gotta get me some of that!)

Hehe, that's exactly how I started here too, Electrolyte.  It was a guess a year after I started getting involved with Mod Archive that I actually tried tracking myself.  You should give it a shot, Electrolyte; everyone's got good music in them waiting to come out.  I'm sure you get loads of inspiration from that load of filtering you do for us.  :D

Dagnabbit the image tag doesn't work unless it sees an extension...
Oh well, go here until my usual server where I store things comes back online.
(My paint skills aren't quite as good as m0ddie's)

I'm on it!

I've started a tune that I'm probably going to enter.  It's not what you're going to expect from this sample pack, I can tell you that, hehe.  I'll have my entry for you in oh, I don't know, a day or two perhaps... unless it has to be due sooner.  When's the deadline for this thing? <-- EDIT:  Okay, never mind, I just looked up the deadline.  I can definitely have something before December 31st.  :)

Sweet.  My last exam is tomorrow, so after then I'll definitely at least have a look at this.  If I can make something out of that sample pack, you can count on an entry from me.  :)

Tracking / The 10 most common tracker mistakes

That seems like kind of a clever way to get the string to stop.  You'd think someone clever enough to think of that solution would be clever enough to use a note off or a note cut, no?  ;)

Tracking / Split: Tracker superiority discussion
« on: December 05, 2006, 04:25:07 »
I'm just going to step in to defend ModPlug Tracker a bit, since that's the one I use.  Some people get a pretty impressive sound out of ModPlug Tracker.  (Granted, not me, because I don't have that kind of skill.)  So I don't think you should rule out ModPlug so hastily because you can't get a good sound out of it.

But anyway, do have a look at the other trackers on the page Electrolyte linked, and find what it is you feel most comfortable with.  :)
