Here are two things that came to my mind that you could program if you like to and if it's possible (since they may be quite resource-demanding):

• "Coup de coeur": Members are able to mark modules they really like, this may be visible to others (like at pouet) or not (like at nectarine)
• Inform about new modules by author x: People can "subscribe" to an author, like at youtube

The first suggestion has been considered before by myself, it is quite an undertaking though. It was something I started but have not had the inspiration to continue with.

Second suggestion, indeed this would require quite some effort on my part. At this moment in time, I don't really feel it is a feature worth the time investment.
