Samples
« on: June 19, 2008, 09:18:00 »

Well, i'm glad to have the first post in the NitroTracker forum.  I've got some samples I use, not many, and half are the included Starpulse LSDJ samples.  Does anybody know some good NES or GameBoy sample packs?  I am trying to find percussion mostly, because I can make everything else.

It's not "officially" open yet (yet to be announced by the developer on the next release of NT), but it's certainly open for use, hello :)

Hey!

The forum hasn't officially been announced, but there's no reason not to start using it :)

Some good resources for legal samples are

To find Game Boy sounds you should search for LSDJ on Freesound. There's a lot of stuff, especially percussion.

yeah, freesound is the best, so far, as far as variety goes.  Tob, best of luck on Nitro Tracker, and any other projects you have.  Thanks everybody.

to help others who might come here, I came across this in the Milky Tracker forum, which was one of many places I looked for samples:

Files are all fine and dandy now.

Here's another link I found elsewhere on mod archive

http://tracker.modarchive.org/torrents/TMA-waveworld.zip.torrent

Contains plenty of nice short mono wavs which is perfect for NT, although some folders do have stereo samples.

weighs in at about 1.5GB

Cheers
