First you load your drum samples in the different sample slots of one instrument. Then in the instrument editor you click on the piano keys to assign notes to the currently selected sample. (Make sure the keyboard is in edit mode, not play mode.) As you can see, every note by default reads 0, so if you have selected sample 0, your clicking makes no difference. Try selecting another sample slot and build your kit like that.

But what about the pitches?
When we have only one sample per instrument (loaded to the slot 0), we can obtain different notes from a single sample. It's easy to get аn interesting sounds, by playing drum samples with too high or too low pitches.
But is it possible to play same sample with diffirent pitches, when there is a set of samples (e.g. slot 0 - snare, slot 1 - kick drum, slot 3 - rim shot, slot 4 - hihat, etc.) within one instrument assigned to their notes?

You can play different pitches if you map your samples over multiple keys, then just adjust the relative notes for the samples to have them operate on your desired range.
