what about fpmikmod4?

it can load a large number of different files!
they could help you to extend the compatibility to other filetypes

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion, but there's several reasons why I don't want to use another XM library: The ds has limited computational power, so all XM libs that render the auto on the CPU (like mikmod) are out of the question. Nitrotracker is also an editor, and most XM libraries are only made for playback. This would require numerous extensions to the library, so I might as well write my own one. Lastly, it's tremendous fun writing your own XM library! :-)
