Looking for the Artist of an 80's mod
« on: July 23, 2009, 23:44:35 »

A long while ago (when I actually had more money then common sense), I would say about 2003, I started getting heavily involved with MOD music after taking time to play my Unreal's and Deus Ex.

After that, the Amiga demoscene really made me interested in modules. So I started downloading every tracker, every plugin, every module I could find so I could learn more about how these things ticked.

One day I came across a Impulse Tracker module called "where80.it" Hence Where is 80's. I think it was a work in progress, but anyways it was interesting. Fast forwarded now that we have the world of Youtube and MySpace we have more outlets for creativity.

I wanted to use that module in a production, but I really want to be able to give that person credit, or at very least see if he/she created some other works.

I checked the info, but it really didn't say a name, group, website. It just mentioned it had real Linn Drum samples. It bothers me when people don't sign there work. Does anyone know who this artist is?

Right now I have it sitting at http://stonedgeek.angelfire.com/where80.it

I really want to give the actual artist credit, and see if there is a newer work, or if I would be able to kinda tweak it more...

 ??? ??? ???

Hmm, going on thirty views and no one has uttered a single peep? This is exactly why when people write a song, compose a piece, paint a picture, you should at least put a handle or something down so people can actually track you down or be able to have some historical documentation in the future.

It's understandable if your work would get you in trouble with your current employer, like if you were doing pornography, stupid stuff, or virus writing.

I'm really getting upset.

Well, you said that it's prolly a WIP, which would explain why there's no handle in the tune. I normally don't sign WIPs as well, as they're not meant to be spread.
