DSi Compatability
« on: August 13, 2009, 07:55:33 »

Is there a release planned for the DSi or any way it could work without a hack/mod (not counting emulators)?

Yes, I absolutely want to port NT to the DSi. Unfortunately I can only do this once the DSi is hacked. The first exploits are out there, but they are not good enough for serious homebrew development since they limit the program size to a few bytes in the savegame area of a game cartridge. I'm pretty sure they will crack it open at some point, but for now we can only wait.

When you mean DSi hacked, you mean something like that? ---->

I believe he meant a cart that uses the DSis abilities to their fullest. Right now, no cart uses DSi mode, which has more onboard RAM which Oxtob can utilize for Nitro. Right now none of those carts can use that, so he's waiting for DSi mode to be 'unlocked' by a card, which, hopefully, the new Team Cyclops cart will do.
