milkytracker issue on linux.
« on: December 07, 2009, 04:23:40 »

hi all!

new to milkytracker. sometimes after editing a sample or something as menial as adding an effect, milkytracker will not perform playback. i can still use the program and everything, but it won't play the song or waveform or anything. i can still save and stuff, so i typically will save it. then i have to close it through the task manager because it won't close either.

weird.  ???

anyone else experience anything like this on linux or another OS? any tips?

I have not seen this problem previously, but if MilkyTracker will not playback this usually indicates that it is no longer receiving callbacks from the system's audio driver.  If you start MilkyTracker from a console there may be some useful error messages shown.
