what am i missing?

I know this is a newbie question, and i've even mined old posts for the answer, but...

I recently got a R4i card to run Nitrotracker on a DS.  I use mac OSX as my computer OS. I downloaded DLDI drop and ran it.  The selection says M3 DS Simply/R4(DS).  I copied the Nitrotracker.nds file onto my card and then put it in the DS.

All I get is a screen that says "menu"   I've reformatted the card and tried a few variations.  I've also tried to patch it manually although I don't really understand how to work in the terminal.

Is there something I've missed or overlooked?

figured it out... wasn't loading the R4i firmware properly.  nitrotracker is running fine.
