BeroTracker that was it!

I used to to create ringtones for my old nokia. They should really build composers into them like the old nokia 3210 had - I actually wrote stuff on it while I was away from home

My pipeline for doing the Berotracker thing was

IT or Mpt (using their midi stuff) -> Belo Tracker -> .mid file

Mpt had its own midi output but it was very badly timed as I remember...

no, only the IMPORT feature in mpt is not well timed, but the timing in generated midi files is quite accurate.

MPT (modplug tracker) can export mods as midi files.  I've played around with this, and if you look in the technical documents section of the modplug forums you'll find a description of how to set up your mod for midi export.  (Written by yours truly after much experimentation.)  In my case, I was looking for an export accurate enough to import the midi into a notation editor.
