Please help identify a tune
« on: April 14, 2011, 22:40:56 »

Hi everyone,
Can anyone please help me identify this tune: http://soundcloud.com/jna2061/ul4
I believe it's an Amiga tracker mod.
I really appreciate it.

I threw this to my twitter followers, maybe someone will get a lead on it.

Sorry for the bump but I really want to find this mod. Maybe someone new on here can identify it.
I was told that this is an Amiga Tracker mod, maybe that narrows it down a bit...

This is the OP by the way (forgot password and email no longer exists, so I had to make a new account, sorry  :-[ )

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you, but I wanna hear the full tune too. I definitely hear some ST-xx samples in there though; very likely PT/ST. Any idea roughly when it was made?

Thanks for responding and sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately I don't have any idea when that mod was made. All I have to go on is that snippet of it my friend recorded a while ago, and he doesn't remember what the source was either.
I could try listening through some mods and trying to find this tune in my free time. Any idea where would be a good place to start?

That sounds like a pretty cool tune actually, would be interested in getting it myself too. Some instantly recognisable samples in there. Sounds like the artist was inspired by Captain (Beyond Music), Jester of Sanity (Stardust Memories), and even Jol005x (Nephew, http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=104166 . Found under Joloosx on Modland).

That style though.. I haven't been listening to mods enough, normally I'd be able to instantly recognise that style and know a similar tune. That sort of happy melody with the key change.. it's a signature of one of the artists of the day. can't think who though :(
