T0ast Tracker
« on: October 02, 2006, 11:56:09 »

Has anyone here tried T0ast tracker? It's a really awesome chip tracker and uses no samples but instead FM synth chips and is capable of doing TB-303 sounds. The tracker layout is quite userfriendly and very easy to use. Download it and try it from:
http://ftp://ftp.modland.com/pub/trackers/Windows/

Be sure to listen to the author's own modules. :)

EDIT:

Just after I posted this I tried to track down the author's website. Not very surprising, it was the same author behind T0ast as BeroTracker - Benjamin Rosseaux. His own page about T0ast is on:

hm, nice idea, but the tracker is a bit hard to use if you're a modplug freak...

I find it quite simple to use. Though, getting your noise instruments to sound like finger snaps and snares and stuff when you are a beginner was not the easiest. I just copied the values from one of the example songs. ;)

I've made a full module already which you can download and listen in the tracker. The WAVE exporter seems to save the samples in some funny format that is not recognised by ModPlug Tracker but plays like it should in Windows Media Player.

Download it from my website on:

yeah, it generates 32bit wave files ;) i found that out in WaveLab.

btw, is my browsr fooling around if me or why does the download link always open a copy of this thread instead of the zip?

edit: now it works :)
