It's been long overdue, but we have finally come around and ditched the old JMOD java module player and replaced it by a brand-new JavaScript player based on libopenmpt. The new player requires a modern browser with HTML5 audio support and a somewhat powerful computer to play some of the more demanding tunes. However, on the bright side, it supports a much greater number of module formats, and it supports them much more accurately than JMOD does, thanks to the OpenMPT playback engine.
Please report any problems you find with the new player.

The online player has been updated to also support MO3 files. MO3 files with Ogg Vorbis samples are supported, MP3 samples are not.

A little late to say this, but I'm so glad it's finally here, even when I just returned to this site recently. A lot better than that crappy JMOD one.

And to add even more great news, the DigiBooster Echo DSP is now fully supported in DBM files as well - Nicely observable e.g. on Diary of a Common Man by JazzCat.

Even more good news: I started implementing the DMO effects that you can use in OpenMPT directly in the libopenmpt code itself (DMO effects are DirectX components, so normally they are only available in native Windows programs). So far I implemented three of them (Echo, ParamEq and Gargle), which are now all available in the online player as well.
You'll find that e.g. Beyond The Network will sound even better now, thanks to the emulation of the Echo DSP effect.
