Hard Money module — do you know its origin?
« on: March 31, 2018, 17:06:20 »

Hi! I'm looking for some information concerning the attached module. Its title is Hard Money—that's all I know about it. Does anyone know the author or the source? Does it come from a demo or from a game maybe? It's just my curiosity; I've liked this piece of music since I was a little kid, and that's why I'm asking.

Thank you!

Thank you for your response. Now the question seems stupid, but I thought the only metadata available was the title 'hard_money'. That's all VLC shows me on macOS. Thanks for letting me know!

I've just downloaded the OpenMPT app for Windows you mentioned in your description, and it shows all the info. Thanks!

Most general-purpose media players simply are not catering for module-specific metadata such as sample texts. Typically more tracker-centric players will give you much richer metadata and allow you to read all the messages found in modules.
kode54's fork of the Cog media player may be more useful on MacOS (haven't tested as I'm not running that operating system.) VLC should generally not be used to play module music as it uses the outdated libmodplug for module playback (exception are current Debian and Ubuntu versions, where it uses the libopenmpt emulation layer and thus plays modules more accurately).
