How to extract the instruments from a .xm track?

I'm a big fan of LHS Chiptunes and I want to compose some tracks in that vibe. I heard that I can use the instruments of a track on the FastTracker 2, but I don't know how to do it.

If anyone can send me some source of similar sampleys that LHS uses, I would appreciate!  ;D

on fasttracker ii, you just select the instrument, go to the disk op. menu, then select "Instr." as the item, then hit the save button.
