m0d has sadly passed away

On Star Wars day, May 4th 2024, our main fleet commander m0d sadly passed away after wrestling with colon cancer since October of last year. He leaves behind his lovely wife Ilona and have handed over the reigns of TMA to me (Ziphoid) and us in SceneSat.

There are plans in motion to build a new engine that is more easily maintainable than the current one is, since we sadly don't have anyone with full expertise and knowledge about it involved any longer.

I have personally been a close friend of Greg for about a decade and a half, and these news hits me quite hard, even though I've known that this has been the grim outlook for the last half year. He has done an amazing job structuring and documenting all sorts of quirks this site has, so that we can manage it as good as possible until we have a new engine up and running.

We expect and hope all of you to help keeping this community flourish and that we can make m0d proud with all the progress we hope to achieve.

You're already missed more than you could ever believe, m0d.

Fuck cancer!

I am sad to hear about m0d. However I am happy to hear that there are plans to build a new website, this website screams for a makeover in terms of its color. It looks like an old pair of green Khaki army pants from the M*A*S*H TV show, it needs color because it looks very depressing.

Still processing the bad news, he took of his precious time in January to thank us for out contributions in mod archive community, I was not aware at that time of his health situation ... :(

That's very sad. We can imagine how difficult is to keep such a site like this up and running with nothing in return but the pleasure of keeping the MOD music available to the masses. His effort won't be forgotten.

I dedicated to him my talk at the local Hackmeeting. It was about Amiga diskmags. They all featured MODs.

I am very sad to hear that :'( I was administrator at Modarchive 2000-2002, and I've always felt very grateful for what m0d did for the site.
