Needling problem with trackers
« on: October 26, 2024, 16:33:27 »

I've been using OpenMPT for quite some time now and it's the best tracker i've used so far. However, i've wanted to use something like FastTracker 2 or ProTracker 2 but with the same convenience of OpenMPT (or better since it still nags me sometimes). Is there anything like that that I am unaware of?  ???

Although I do sometimes want to make modules that are compatible with most other trackers, I just want to use FastTracker 2 or ProTracker 2 but still be comfortable enough with how intuitive and convenient it is. Maybe i'm just being picky and should just deal with how it is to use those, or continue using OpenMPT.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks.

You could try Milkytracker, but I will mention, that OpenMPT has a feature called "Compatibility Export", that is enabled if you've used any format-incompatible stuff (like midi fx for example).

It's okay if you stick with OpenMPT, I, personally, don't see any major difference in tracking in FT2 or MPT for that matter, except for PT and .MOD, because Protracker has a set of limitations, that you must follow.
