Tags for all! every mod from 2007 to 2023
« on: May 04, 2025, 20:26:37 »

Hi everyone, I'm Fabian, also fabrecord as pseudonym, I have been in music PC since 2006 but, in 2012 or so that I discover MOD's and stuff, BUT, really got into for around the end of 2023 where I downloaded that massive pack of mods (120k), and started to listen some of there without any expectations, and what i found....
GEMS, underrated gems buried on that mountain of similar works!
So I decided to create an account and start to keep the track of what I'm listening, so I started to create a some kind of db for that.

My player is Foobar2000 with foo_openmpt54 and others and for tagging, I use External Tags, which is great due that it allow to write tags for files that is unsupported to write in.

So I wrote an script that what is does is store according to the metadata of every MOD to write into standard tags (very useful for when it needs to convert to any convetional audio format), and what is better yet, I added Replaygain information, Skip track info, and Fades  (not complete yet, woring in progress...).

So, I decided to share all my current tags here for everyone interested.

All you need is:

Foobar2000 program
foobar components:
1. OpenMPT module decoder
2. Skip Track

That to start

basic setup

On config from open MPT module, set loop to 1, sample rate 44100, interpolation to whatever you like ;) but keep in mind that replaygain scanns was made with cubic... an image...
