Artist's Comments

This composition is based on a tune I made up at the end of fourth grade. It's one of those spontaneous childhood songs whose lyrics don't really make sense: "Oh one more day of school left, oh one more day of school, oh one more day of school left, oh it is such a drool. One more day, one more day of schoo-ol, one more day, oh it is such a drool." Anyway, it still is a really good tune, so I decided to build an MOD arrangement around it.

After I added the drums and some other instruments, it turned out to be a surprisingly "hoppy" tune, so it's now my favorite MOD composition (of my own). To "fill out" the song, it needed "verses" instead of just a refrain, so I added a fast-pased melody with lots of notes. This was a spontaneous part as I didn't actually have words for those notes (and still don't), but when you listen to the song it actually does sound like words should be there. To add a bit more variety, I finished the composition with a bridge-like slow part. - Kevin North
