"Velvet Thunder Dance" By Rikimbo (aka Eric Himbeault) Original: July 26th, 2006 Edit: August 30th, 2006 -------------------- Module #48. Best playback with Modplug Player. Otherwise, play in XMPlay or Winamp but ONLY with the BASS in plug-in. This was my entry for the Abulia Concepts Second "16 Samples Compo". It turns out I won that compo because I was the only one who entered it. But hey, winning is winning! I had some issues with the fact that the sample set had a serious lack of non-pecussive samples. In the original I had managed to make one of the more melodic drum samples sounds like a bass, and then later used it for the dub style chords. In this version, I simply replaced that sample with a better sounding sample for the job. Everything else is as it was in the original. Enjoy. If you like this or any of my other work, drop me a line, will ya? -------------------- Samples all from the original samplepack, except for the new bass-ish sample, and I don't remember where that is from. -------------------- rikimbo_gmail.com email or add me on MSN!

Being a percussionist myself, I can enjoy this kind of percussive ambient stuff. Very nice and interesting use of percussion samples. It has some experimental industrial feel to it. Nice display of effect command knowledge. This could easily be the background music for some science programme.
