This song, presumably dealing with galaxies or galactic scales in some way, necessarily must travel around a bit. Indeed, the song ties together (and travels over) a multitude of smaller pieces. The first is perhaps the least attractive, in my opinion: it uses a fair number of very short tracks, and puts some effects to good use, such as portamento; the melody is perhaps lighter on the ear than the harmony, which is problematic, since the harmony isn't particularly impressive. The song transitions to a second portion, much different from the first and slower, too. Then to a third, faster, and so on. Each transition is smooth, and one piece varies (sometimes greatly) on the one before in some way. So, the listener is taken along for the ride. In one section at least, the rhythm is driven by a thrumming harmony, accentuated only by percussion (I thought this was a nice touch). The ending is too short, however. I felt cheated, a little. Overall, this is a song I say could benefit greatly by the limitlessness of the medium: each piece ought to be expanded to its full potential. Who cares how long it gets? A galaxy is a large place, too large for this song.
