This is a wonderful orchestral track written with professional skills. Some might say it lacks originality in the genre, but nevermind.

I like orchestral/movie tracks very much, and I´ve listened to many. But this track is really outstanding composed, awesome feeling and a great choice of samples. Tracking on its best. Chappeau - great track!!!

I have to agree that this is the best classical module you can find anywhere. Gopher is sure a pro in this genre. Hard to believe that this is actually a common FT2 module. The only flaw I noticed is the overall panning; It's of course an orchestra, but it's annoying that sometimes, all the action is on the left channel. Despite that, A-grade work. Wise selection of samples, carefully configured dynamics, etc... This is a true masterpiece.

Orchestral - rare quality - This has to be one of the best recent additions that i've come across. Although I know this track from about 4 years ago when Gopher finished it, it has only arrived now because of the filesize limit-increase on the archive - and this is good enough justification reason for that if there was ever a need for one. So many themes, the delivery is awesome, this guy is a classical composer (obviously) Very much Recommended.

Overall Impression (9/10)

Intense atmospheric and severely epic. When I first heard this I was really quite unsure whether it was tracked at all, as it was provided to me as an mp3 several years ago. Overall, I'd say this is one of the better orchestral pieces out there in tracker format.

Technique, Arrangement, Composition (8/10)

Technically sound. The instruments are panned nicely, and they don't move around - an orchestra wouldn't. The samples used in this piece are of the quality you'd expect for a module of it's age. Channel usage on the piece is huge, I believe it's maxed out (could be wrong), but still... the texture of the sounds built up in this piece really work together.

Development (8/10)

Strong emphasis on crescendo and although the lead instrument (oboe) is a bit iffy in terms of realism, on the whole it fits in with the whole piece. The movements between parts are transitioned smoothly, the percussive elements of this piece are spot on. The combination of horn movements with strings are impressively intertwined as well as the constant chord progression changes - meaning it hardly ever repeats more than a couple of times.

The ending comes quickly, though, slowing down a few notches and ending on a major. This is fine, except after the embroiling activity of the previous few phrases, the ending does come on very suddenly, perhaps it could have been lengthened out a little to counterbalance the prior transition. Still, not a major issue and certainly won't lose any points for that.

Creativity (10/10)

Scores of it. As mentioned in the Melodic Development, the piece as a whole demonstrates a competent approach to a niche genre, and in terms of creativity the number of themes tied together here is extraordinary.

Enjoyment (10/10)

I'd say it's long enough to be listened to several times before you actually hear the whole thing for what it is. Definitely recommended that you play it a few times. In terms of lasting replay-ability - I don't see any problems here.
