their hooves pound the
ground as they go on
their journey. they
speak human tongues
to the rest of their
herd. the townsfolk
all gather to watch
as they pass. some
say it's all in their
imagination, others
wish they could join
them on their way.
the creatures pass
through the town and
over the horizon.
Was it no more than a
dream? who can tell?
will they return? we
shall see. those who
did not see them are
quick to condemn the
possibility that the
legends were true,
but those who believe
still hope they will
some day return.
